Ouray Ice Climbing 2020

Feb 2020
We are not not big football fans. Neither are we anti-football. Don't ask me why, but our chosen time to hit Ouray for our not-always-annnual, annual ice climbing trip is superbowl weekend.

True to form we arrived Friday evening, climbed Saturday, wandered around doing some light hiking before the game on Sunday and hit the Ouray Brewery for the game Sunday afternoon. Monday we were climbing again and Tuesday we flew home. Per usual we stayed at the Box Canyon Lodge and spent a very enjoyable post climbing hour or so in the on-property natural hot springs tubs each evening. Besides the astounding Ouray scenery and breathtaking ice park, a highlight of the trip was meeting and getting to know a bit, a very inspiring young woman named Kelsey. She is the type of young person that restores your faith in the future, and if you hadn't already lost it, the shining example of why.
