Sedona et al.

Canyoneering
Secret Canyon. We had put this off several times already. Joannie came up with the idea of finally doing this canyon on our way to mountain biking Sedona...which we had also put off for a of couple years already. It was a fun little canyon with a couple relatively short rappels and nice hot springs at the bottom. Our timing was just right as after completing the canyon, that evening it started raining and rained all night.

Sedona
The next day we were off to Sedona. Although the riding is excellent we were both put off by the crowds, everywhere. It was difficult getting parking spots and several times we were skunked. As long as we got to the trailheads early we were mostly OK. But to try to follow up a morning ride with an afternoon ride...forget it. There was just no parking. And the traffic line between Sedona and Oak Creek Village was just ridiculous! I really don't know how the locals deal with it. So as good as the riding is and the breathtaking scenery, I think we'll pass on the next round. We did find a really nice suite in private residence for an excellent place to stay though.

Biking video coming...
